Review of The Green Kangaroos by Jessica McHugh

Sara Tristan

I recently read Jessica McHugh's, "The Green Kangaroos" and I must admit it was one of the best horror books I have read in a long time.  There were times it was grotesque and down right ugly, but after all the extras were stripped away it was a very well-written portrayal of the two counterparts to addiction - the addict and the enabler.

5 Things I Learned from Writing Fanfiction

Christina Escamilla

It’s very fitting that my first blog post is about fanfiction.  Why?  Because, I spent most of my teens and early twenties holed up in my room writing it.  Not just writing stories, but reading it, making fanvideos, making fanart and graphics…my life was centered on seeing how much I could Sims-up my favorite TV shows and movies. Sometimes, that meant seeing my favorite characters suffer through countless deaths while other times, it meant I really just wanted two people to get it on.
